These data sets are raw simulated and measured data belonging to the article 'Capacitive gas-phase detection in liquid nitrogen' in the open-access peer-reviewed journal of Sensors and Sensor Systems (JSSS). The simulated data consists of the electrical field strength in every three-dimensional element for different fill levels of the receptacle and for a bubble stream inside the receptacle. Also, the points of the boiling curve are given. The measured data represents the ratio of the measured capacitance to a known capacitor for electrodes 1-3 and 2-5 for different measurements. It also includes the fill level values over time taken from the video as well as an important part of the respective video.en
