Abstract
In this study we investigate the remaining variance of the triboelectric output under controlled process and environmental conditions. We use a lateral sliding configuration with polyimide (PI) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) foils acting as triboelectric layers against an aluminum (Al) foil. Long-term tests of one hour are conducted followed by a parameter variation of sliding rate and applied normal force. Micrographs of the surface are used to gain a rough estimate for the effective contact area.
This data provides the raw measurement data of short-circuit current, acceleration, friction force, normal, force, ambient temperature and relative humidity. In addition, the raw data from the laser scanning microscopy of all specimen prior and after testing are provided.
